A tip-over switch is a safety component that will turn the heater off if it is tipped more than a set amount of degrees. Its job is to turn the heater off if it is tipped over. The patented tilt feature of the Heat Hog operates independently from the tip switch. The Heat Hog also includes an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS). This safety component senses the amount of oxygen around the pilot. When the oxygen level drops below a specific level, the device will automatically shut off.
